Interiors Project 01 Shower Room - Demolition
Our shower room is nearly finished so I thought I'd put some photos of
here of the demolition and general mess that we've endured for the last
couple of months. We've just got a bit of tiling to do and then we can
get the electrician back to finish off the lighting, etc

Lucy's Wedding Jewellery - Ready to Ship!
One of my loves (sad obsessions) is gift wrapping presents- especially for my bridal jewellery.
I love to show exactly how special and unique my jewellery is by wrapping it accordingly. As the theme for Lucy's wedding is burnt orange I decided to make the wrapping to match.

Lucy's Wedding Jewellery - Finished
I've finished and photographed this commissioned wedding jewellery set for Lucy. I wanted to create a set that wasn't too matching but the different pieces all had a similar style whilst all still could work separately. The set includes: an illusion necklace with pearls and Swarovski crystals, beaded Swarovski crystal earrings and a trilogy* bracelet with pearls and crystals in burnt oranges.

Necklace details
The brief for the necklace was for an illusion style necklace using crystals. I discussed this with Lucy as I felt that this could be quite harsh psychically on neck skin which can be very sensitive. I have instead made the necklace in ivory glass pearls, round and some small bicone crystal beads. Here is the final look which I think is beautiful.

Earrings Details
The concept for the earrings was for something sparkly and sophisticated. The shape of the beaded crystal beads mirrors the round crystals in the necklace and bracelet
Simple formed bead on a silver chain adds drama and movement whilst still looking subtle

Bracelet details
The *Trilogy bracelet was my idea to create something special for the day, which can also be worn in different ways after the event. The 3 separate bracelets are to symbolise the couples life before their wedding day, the day itself and their future lives together. The bracelets that I've made for Lucy are is ivory pearls, burnt orange crystals (the colour theme for the wedding) and also in Clear AB crystals. The bracelets are connected together with a small linking chain that includes a blue heart bead to give the bride her 'something blue'

I hope that the bride is as happy as I am with the finished look x

Work in Progress - Lucy's Wedding Jewellery
I am currently working on a set of wedding jewellery. The theme for the wedding is burnt / oranges and ivory. So far I've made these sparkly Swarovski Clear AB 4mm bicone beaded ball earrings. I wanted to make something which is simple, elegant and quite large without being too heavy to wear all day.
The idea behind the bracelet is that it is made of three separate elasticated bracelets with a small linking chain which has a 'something blue' Swarovski heart charm. This link chain will be worn on the wedding day but then after the day the bracelets can be worn separately as a little reminder of the big day whilst being a simple and wearable bracelet. The final three bracelets will be:
The necklace (unfinished so far) is an illusion style necklace with multiple strands of ivory pearls and round crystals. I will take some proper photos when everything is finished.

Interiors Project 01 Shower Room
So the first interiors project for me in our new house is the downstairs shower room. It's small and definitely not perfectly formed at the moment. Everything needs replacing and we'll be fitting a proper shower rather than the weak electric one that is in there now.
The first job was to take off the plasterboard boxing out of the stairs above. This will make it seem a lot more spacious. The plumber is coming in on the 20 Feb to fit a new radiator and the plumbing for the shower.
Jobs to be done:
- Replace window
- Remove electric radiator
- Remove shower, wc, basin and replace
- Remove floor tiles
- Remove wall tiles
- New column radiator
- New lighting
- New flooring
- New wall tiles

Limited floor space, large basin and wc, big step
onto and into the shower... hopefully all improved soon
Existing electric radiator which is going to be removed
and the space is going to be made into one big shower

New Diary for 2012 Arrives
I've been a little absent on here for a while but today I took delivery of my custom made 2012 diary from Green Grass and I love it so much I thought I'd put it on here. So thank you Liz at Green Grass for my lovely Owl Diary- and for sending it so quickly. I especially love the little owl peeking out from the velcro fastner!
