As part of our Hall, Stairs and Landing refurbishment I have bought a lampshade to coordinate with the coral coloured wall. The lampshade I have found has a story of its own- which you can see here Galigali : I love it and I can't wait to see how it looks with the light on. Beautiful!

Finally my website has been launched! It went live on Friday after a marathon of work. I am really happy with the way it looks and works. I especially love the search functions. My other half has done an amazing job and I am so grateful for all the time and energy he put into it. Please come and have a look round and let me know if you see any mistakes!

Gift Wrap Love
I have recently done a commission for a collection of jewellery for a bride. Although I don't want to put any photos of the items I've made (as they're gifts and I don't want to spoil any surprises) I thought I'd put on here my attempts at some pretty gift wrapping.
In total I have 9 items to wrap and finally all the components have arrived but I've not had a chance to wrap anything yet- tomorrow maybe. The last thing to arrive was some stickers from Moo, which look great. I will photograph some of the pieces as I assemble them.
The look I've gone for is something quite whimsical and romantic... I hope the bride, and all the recipients appreciate my efforts!
Ingredients:
Pillow boxes in small and large, finish natural
Gift tags, natural colour
Tissue paper in light pink and white
Ivory Ribbon in 6 and 9mm
Ivory Burplap string
Doilies, various styles and sizes
Metallic Ivory Pearl Fimo clay- made into roses
Brooch pin backs
Japanese Washi masking tape (not shown)
Moo Stickers made saying: 'thank you' and a flower
Watch this space for the final look.

A Peachy Commission
The brief for this commission is for a peach colour necklace, fairly large beads and approx 28" long.
The design I have chosen is a Shamballa style using 12mm round beautiful Peach Jade with Carnelian beads as an accent. The cord that I've used for this is a copper metallic braided waxed cotton cord. The great feature about this style is that it can be worn at various lengths from 24 - 30" long. It's the first Shamballa style necklace that I've made and I really love having the versatility of varying lengths so I'm sure it won't be the last!

CMYK Posters Launched Today
Today the Weston Design Co CMYK Posters have been launched and are available from Folksy and Etsy
CMYK Personalised A3 Poster - Date Specific
What is your colour?
Each poster is the representation of your specific date made up of from percentages of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black.
The percentages of each colour is calculated by:
where the day falls in each month
where the month falls in each year
where the century falls in each millennium
and where the decade falls in each century
for example:
15 September is exactly halfway through the month and is therefore 50% Cyan, etc A full break down of this rather complicated calculation will be provided when you order your print.
The Poster can be personalised further with a description of what this date represents. For example: "the day we met" or "the day you said you'd be mine forever" it's up to you.
If you would like a swatch of the colour emailed to your prior to ordering this can be arranged by email and paid by paypal for the fee of £5 (discounted when you order the print)
Poster is A3 (29.7 x 42cm), printed with archival inks on 225gsm Somerset Watercolour Paper which has a beautiful texture and looks stunning with the bold and modern colour palette.
Here are the three dates that we've mocked up:

EJ Website Launch- New Ranges
Hopefully in the next few weeks the Elinor Jenkins website will be launched.
To mark this (rather long time coming) event I will be also launching some new ranges of jewellery for summer 2012. Here is a sneaky look at some of the materials I will be using. I am a bit of a magpie with bright and sparkly things so the Neon Brights range is right up my street. I've also made some new simpler bridal / pearl pieces.
The materials I have become rather obsessed by are dyed jade and other semi precious stones as well as neon coloured ribbons and cord.

Bad Fairy
My bigger one had a superheros and fairy party to attend- so out came the sewing machine. Actually it was all made without using anything other than some elastic, sequin tape, pop socks and 2 metres of mesh fabric- and some second hand fairy wings.
It's a shame that my little fairy decided she didn't want to be a fairy on the day of the party but hey-ho I'm sure she'll get some more use out of it! Here is some evidence though that she looked pretty bad.
